The guided request keeps form answers in the open page and can prepare a message for your own email application. The optional VIN lookup is processed separately and is never added to that message or to Google Analytics.
Who is responsible
Standard Auto Repair Works is operated by Standard Auto Spring Works (1990) Ltd. as part of Standard Auto Works. Privacy questions may be directed to info@standardaw.com or (204) 943-0792.
Website activity
The website displays business information and provides a guided repair request flow. Answers remain in the current browser page. At the final step, the visitor may open a prepared message in their own email application or copy the summary. The visitor must review and send the message through that separate service.
- No account creation, payment, document upload or supplier login is available.
- No supplier inventory, dealer pricing or ordering connection is active.
- Google Analytics 4 measures visits and non-personal contact actions under the choice described below.
- The hosting platform may process basic request and security information needed to serve and protect the site.
Google Analytics and consent
Standard Repair uses Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-91P0Y4XNQZ to understand page visits and whether visitors select repair request, phone or email contact routes. The implementation does not intentionally send form answers, VINs, phone numbers, email addresses or repair descriptions to Analytics.
Analytics storage begins denied. If you allow Analytics, the site updates that choice to granted in this browser. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied. With Analytics storage denied, Google's tag may receive limited, cookieless measurement signals. Details and a control for changing your choice are available in the Cookie Notice and Privacy Choices.
Optional VIN identification and recall information
If you choose to identify a vehicle by VIN, the 17 character VIN is sent over an encrypted connection to Standard Repair and then to the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration vPIC identification service. Standard sends it for a one time lookup and does not store it in the application. The service returns a possible year, make, model, vehicle type and body class for you to review. The server lookup does not place the VIN in the page address, analytics, request summary, email draft or website storage.
The Canadian recall indicator uses only the year, make and model that you accept. It does not send the VIN for recall matching. A grouped match cannot establish whether a particular vehicle is affected or whether a recall repair has been completed. Confirm the result through the official Transport Canada recall database, the manufacturer or an authorized dealer.
Winnipeg weather
The homepage weather panel uses a Standard Repair server connection to retrieve downtown Winnipeg conditions and alerts from Environment and Climate Change Canada. Your browser does not contact the weather provider, request your location or set a weather cookie. Provider and licence details are available in the Legal Centre.
Live map and directions
The Contact page includes a map provided by OpenStreetMap. When the map area loads, your browser contacts that service and it may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, browser details and referring page. Standard Repair does not use the map to request your device location.
Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze are separate services. Opening one of those direction links sends you to that provider under its own privacy terms. The links identify Standard Auto Repair Works and its Repair phone and location, not the separate Standard Spring listing.
Phone and email are separate channels
If you call or send an email, the information you choose to provide is handled through those communication systems and ordinary business records. Do not send payment card numbers, identity documents or unnecessary claim documents by ordinary email.
Before server delivery is activated
Any future website submission service will require a defined purpose, limited fields, a privacy notice shown at the right time, secure delivery, access controls, retention rules and a tested deletion process. This notice will be updated before that collection begins.
Access, correction and questions
You may ask whether the business holds personal information about you and request access or correction where applicable. Identity may need to be verified before a record is disclosed or changed. Contact the shop using the phone or email above.
