Three required lanes. Standard Repair provides two.
A Manitoba rebuilt vehicle file requires Body Integrity work through a licensed station, a four wheel alignment inspection and the correct mechanical safety inspection pathway. Standard provides the alignment report and, for an eligible vehicle, the COI.

A rebuilt vehicle pathway
Body Integrity, alignment and the COI remain separate steps.
For the vehicle shown, UniCity Paint & Body handled the Body Integrity work. Standard provided the alignment and applicable safety inspection. Each rebuilt file must still follow its own required sequence.
The complete pathway
Do the work in the sequence required for the file.
MPI’s current process is more than collecting three papers. The structural repair plan and Body Integrity inspections begin before and during the structural repair.
01 · Licensed Body Integrity station
Repair plan, structural inspection and BIIC
The licensed station controls structural repair planning, frame gauging or measurements, required inspections and certification.
Standard does not provide this lane.
02 · Standard Repair
Four wheel alignment inspection and report
When the vehicle fits Standard’s alignment equipment, the measured result is provided for the rebuilt file.
Equipment capacity is screened before transport.
03 · Standard Repair
Inspection (COI)
After the BIIC sequence, Standard can complete the official light vehicle COI when the vehicle is eligible within current station and mechanic permits.
The vehicle must meet every applicable safety requirement.
Four wheel alignment measurement within equipment capacity
Alignment report for the rebuilt file
Eligible Manitoba light vehicle COI
Separately authorized mechanical repairs
Applicable COI return process confirmed with the inspection station
Licensed Body Integrity station
What we do not provide
Approval of the structural repair plan
Body Integrity inspection
Frame gauging or structural measurements
Body Integrity Inspection Certificate
Representation that Standard certified the body structure
Standard's part of the file
Alignment measurement and the eligible COI are completed as separate services.
The alignment equipment fit and inspection class are confirmed before the vehicle is booked. Standard does not provide structural measurements or the Body Integrity certificate.
If the COI fails
Fix every listed safety defect, then confirm the return process.
You can repair eligible items at Standard, at another shop or yourself where permitted. Contact the inspection station after the repairs are complete so the applicable reinspection scope, timing and fee can be confirmed before the vehicle returns.
Body Integrity provider
Use a currently licensed Body Integrity inspection station.
UniCity Paint & Body completed the Body Integrity portion for the example vehicle shown on this page. Current station eligibility, the structural plan and the required inspection sequence must be confirmed for every individual file.
Rebuilt file answers
Call before transport.
Have the VIN, current BIIC stage and documents required for the alignment and COI.
01Which rebuilt vehicle services does Standard provide?
Standard provides a four wheel alignment report when the vehicle fits its alignment equipment and the Manitoba light vehicle COI when the vehicle is within its inspection permit. Staff screen both requirements before transport.
02Does Standard provide the Body Integrity Inspection Certificate?
No. A licensed Body Integrity inspection station controls the approved structural repair plan, frame gauging or structural measurements, Body Integrity inspections and BIIC.
03Can I repair failed COI items and bring the vehicle back?
Yes. You may authorize eligible repairs at Standard, use another repair facility or complete permitted repairs yourself. Contact the inspection station after the required repairs are complete to confirm the applicable return process. The certificate is issued only after all requirements are met.
