Vehicle handoff

Coordinate the file before the vehicle arrives.

Tow status, requested mechanical operation, authorization contact and return documents should be clear before the bay is reserved.

Mechanical scope

Support for the work that sits beyond body and paint.

Acceptance depends on vehicle size, current repair stage, equipment capacity and the evidence your file requires.

Suspension and Steering

Control arm, joint, link, strut, hub and related front end operations accepted for the file.

Wheel Alignment

Measurement, adjustment and printed before and after results on jobs the Hunter system can report.

Eligible COI Support

Manitoba light vehicle COI within the station permitted class and file sequence.

Mechanical Documentation

Estimate, authorization, repair order, report and invoice aligned to the requested handoff.

Mechanical sublet work

Standard completes the accepted mechanical scope, not the collision repair.

The primary body shop remains responsible for the overall file while Standard documents the mechanical work it accepts.

  • The primary shop manages the overall collision repair
  • Standard documents its accepted mechanical scope
  • Structural and BIIC work remains with the licensed body integrity station
Trade answers

Set the file up correctly before the tow or transfer.

Call when the vehicle is not drivable, partly disassembled or requires unusual documentation.

Who manages the MPI claim?

The primary collision repair facility normally manages the claim, customer communication and overall repair. Standard supports the authorized mechanical operation and provides its sublet documentation.

What must the body shop request identify?

State whether Standard is measuring, inspecting, diagnosing, estimating or repairing. Name the authorization contact and the documents required on return.

Can Standard provide rebuilt vehicle alignment reports?

Four wheel alignment measurements and before and after reporting can support the file when Standard’s equipment can accept the vehicle. The licensed Body Integrity station controls structural inspection and certification.
