Sec 1.3.2Electric or Hybrid Vehicles

High voltage cables, wiring, connections, traction motor or generator, traction battery, storage area and status indicators.

Sec 1.6Belts

Steering and brake system belts, plus pulleys, are checked for presence, cracks, fraying, slipping, damage and alignment.

Sec 2.12Front and Rear Axles

Axles, housings, attachments, damage, alignment and visible conditions that affect safe operation.

Sec 4.9Electronically Controlled Steering

The electronic steering system is checked against the original manufacturer’s operating specifications.

Sec 5.5Engine Shut Down

The normal engine shutdown control and safe stopping operation are checked where applicable.

Sec 8.6Roof: Retractable Or Removable

The roof, roof supports, openings, panels and visible structural condition are checked as applicable.

Sec 10.1-10.7Passenger Accessibility Features and Equipment

Accessibility controls, lifts, ramps, securement systems and related equipment are checked on vehicles equipped with them.

Apply the current Schedule E standard and any required OEM procedure. This guide does not declare an inspection result.
